This memorial had years of black lichen and green algae across the face, making the inscription very hard to read.
The first visit
We photographed the stone and checked it was stable and safe to clean, and that the lettering was sound.
The clean
Using stone-safe, biodegradable products and soft brushes — never pressure washers or harsh chemicals — we lifted the growth and treated the surface to slow regrowth.
The result
The inscription is clear again and the stone's natural colour has returned. The family received before & after photos, which is standard with every job.
