Our services in Worthing
01Memorial cleaning in Worthing
The brisk sea air and salty spray drifting across Worthing can gradually leave memorials coated in lichen, moss, and atmospheric grime. Our gentle, non-invasive cleaning methods lift deep-seated biological growth without harming delicate older masonry. We carefully wash and restore natural stone, marble, and granite, preserving the dignity of your family memorial while protecting the stonework from future coastal weathering.
02Re-lettering in Worthing
Over time, bright coastal sunshine and changing seasons in Worthing fade painted inscriptions, making cherished names and dedications difficult to read. We revive weathered memorials by meticulously cleaning the existing lettering and applying durable, specialist enamels by hand. Matching the original font and colour faithfully, our careful work brings clarity back to faded inscriptions, ensuring your family's treasured memories remain clear for generations.
03Re-gilding in Worthing
Reflecting the traditional character of Worthing's heritage memorials, our re-gilding service renews faded lettering with hand-applied twenty-three-carat gold leaf. Exposure to the elements gradually diminishes original leaf, but we carefully prepare each carved groove before laying fresh gold. This time-honoured technique imparts a rich, reflective finish, creating an enduring memorial tribute that withstands the variable coastal climate.
04Headstone removal in Worthing
Following a recent interment, or when preparing to add a new inscription, memorials often require safe relocation. For families across Worthing, from the coastal flats to the foot of the South Downs, we provide professional memorial removal. We handle every stone with profound care, offering safe transport alongside up to twelve months of secure storage while ground settles or further engraving work is completed.
